Benefits as a Cadet

Cadets are permanently employed by Youth XLS.

All Cadets undergo a work readiness program funded and sponsored by The Afrizan Academy.

Further to this they do a 3 month client engagement accreddited skills course which clients can claim as spend as it is included in the hosting costs.

Cadets receive benefits. Over and above the normal statutory benefits Youth XLS offers as standard Funeral, Life and Disability Cover and Cadets have the option to choose a Medical Aid and / or a Retirement Annuity Plan (At an additional cost).

Cadets are employed in a stable environment. They are mentored and know that they have a home and a chance to build up experience.

Cadets form part of the greater Youth XLS Community. When not seconded to a client site, Cadets work at Youth XLS offices assisting our team in servicing our clients.

Cadets have a future. Youth XLS is intended as a career spring board. We seek to develop Cadets to a point where they are eligible for permanent placement within our client environment. This means that, should a permanent opportunity become available, you may decide to offer a Cadet a position secure in the knowledge of his or her capabilities and work ethic – indeed having conducted in effect the most thorough interview possible!
